| I don think that it can get any better than wonderful, quality music (interesting cover songs), three times a week. This Podcast falls under the "holy s**t, I can believe this is free!!!" category. The covers that Brian Ibbot plays always turn the original on its ear, and the old song is new again, reborn in a new style. Really, Coverville is such a pleasure to listen to, I learn about artists that I wouldn have otherwise....but my overall gut reaction to this blessing is... "I can believe this is free!"

| Im not a huge music listener, my MP3 player is filled almost completely with podcasts and audiobooks, but this is the one music podcast I subscribe to. Brian Ibbott posts 3x a week with daunting punctuality, generally a 35-50 minute show featuring all cover songs. He comes up with lots of clever themes ranging from a focus on covers of one musicians or bands tunes, to Six Degrees of Coveration, to Originalville--original versions of songs where the covers are better known. Youll discover all kinds of great music with a bonus that you already know a lot of the songs. Awesome show!

| This is the most authoritative media (including all sort of streaming and non-streaming media) I ever came across specialised in cover songs. Brian Ibbott is doing a great job here, his show is full of brisk and polite language, fun minus all the rubbishness. Let me present here a sharp contrast of his show with that of KEXP. While Coverville is full of greatest hits in cover form, performed by lesser known, gifted artists, KEXP is localized crap of uninteresting north-west music. KEXP will bore you for one hour daily while Coverville is always to-the-point, brief and is like a cream full of goodness! In my openion Coverville is No. 1 music podcast. (Soccer girl inc is the worst podcast I ever sheard anyway)

| I subscribe to very few podcasts, and (of course) I enjoy hearing them when its convenient for me. But I find myself checking for new episodes of Coverville before theyre posted -- honestly, its a lot of mediocre music I wont listen to again, but oh so worth those jewels Brian finds. Thanks to you, man!
Hey, heres a couple ideas Id like to hear: lots of "popular" songs get arranged for marching bands and such; theres also plenty of "showtunes" and jazz getting covered by popular music groups.
Meanwhile, Ive got requests (if you can play them): The Scientist (Coldplay, covered by Aimee Mann on Lost in Space special edition), Tougher Than the Rest (Springsteen, covered by Emmylou Harris on Brand New Dance), Ways to Be Wicked (Tom Petty, covered by Lone Justice on East of Eden), and Dont Miss You At All (Duke Ellington, covered and lyric added by Norah Jones on Feels Like Home).
Again, big kudos to Coverville. Now hurry up and post a new show! : )

He has intriguing comments and music and, indeed, as he has said in one of his several experimental taglines, "Someone always does it better." I have heard great music I would never have found otherwise and his commentary and observations are astute, amusing, and educational. His delivery is superb! | Been listening for the last 20 plus shows and ever since you hit the big 100 the show has lost direction. Show 100 was an all time low. Where are the intersting, quirky, vibrant and memobable songs that you used to have ? Like the Brazilian Michael Jackson, or Bomb the Base or . . . .
One more thing. A show without the word "cool' would be a very cool thing to try !

| Bandwith Limits and Ads |
| Podcasting can be fun but there remain issues to be resolved. Coverville is a popular Podcast. But it's gotten so popular that I have trouble downloading it. Brian Ibbott, the host of Coverville, is facing bandwith limits. And he spends more time advertising and the ads include annoying alliteration for a mediocre and poorly designed Podcast site called Podcast Pickle. (You may want to put on a pair of sunglasses before clicking on the Pickle link.)
The nice thing about Podcasting is freedom from the strictures of ads. This may be vanishing. I hope the simple and direct person to person contact remains.

| I'm voting for this show, although I think it could be much better. I really dig the idea, and the host is very knowledgeable, however I feel as though he will fall asleep at any moment. I understand that in the description it mentions that some of the covers are bad, but I believe most of what I have heard so far (5 shows) have been pretty bad. I know, we probably just have different taste, but hey- what I love about the show is this: I would never listen to Mandy Moore on purpose, but I thought her version of Carly Simon's song was great! However, with so many versions of Yesterday out there, surely you could have picked a better one to play! I'll keep listening!

| this is far from the group of crappily produced covers (probably by the band the host is in) that I expected.
This is a well thought out radio show featuring some serious talent, sometimes of the undiscovered variety. I just listened to two shows while sitting in an hour and ahalf commute, and it seemed like 20 minutes. I wasn't exposed to even one band I'd heard of before, and the recordings were high quality both in audio and in content.
Job well done. However, the host needs to stop saying "uhm" so damn much,
really good podcast.

| Worth the hard drive space!! In fact, when you mentioned the possibility of the older shows being removed, I spent several hours meniacally downloading every show, then archiving them all to disk.
Is there any way I could convince you to do an all Zappa show? He does some really great Beatles covers, including a stunning rendition of "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds" with lyrics modified to "Lousiana Hooker With Herpes", plus some interesting Johnny Cash... not all of it X-rated, either.

| This is the way radio was at it's best, though certainly not it's most polished. I hate talk radio podcasts, they are exactly why I don't listen to the radio in the morning. This is one of the few podcasts to balance the roles and quantities of dj and content.

Brian's quiet, thoughtful knowledge and warmth are the exact opposite of many podcaster's smirking jerkiness, and his musical choices are wonderful. I will never forget the hair-raisingly gorgeous acapella version of Dire Strait's "Romeo and Juliet" that he played, and I always come back to see what he's unearthed next.
