Initially, I thought "a news summary, big deal." As I have listened to this show, I have really come to appreciate Andrew's work. He keeps the show short and puts out shows consistently. While I often might miss reading my daily rss feeds, I can always find time to listen to this podcast. It is the first podcast I will listen to at the start of the day. Slashdot Review keeps me informed on the major technology news stories.

Excellent short audio update
I love this update, I can just listen to this while programming along and the garage band makes a swell attribute. When I hear something interesting its only a few keystrokeas away to get the details. For me being a Dutch programmer It would be awesome if,, or toms hardware etc. also did something of this sort.

Required listen every morning
Thanks for the good work. Suggested formula: keep to important news, all concentrated into 10 minutes or less. Ok to have the music if its at the end so can skip if I want to. Good music choices! Idea - occasionally, try a short story instead of a song - like on The Seannachai (maybe the author, Patrick E. McLean, would be interested?). Maybe you could find someone who would regularly compose humorous short fiction based on current events? Audio skits. Published under CC... As a commuter, I find that the content that makes the time go by the best is interesting news and escapist fiction. So, marry the two together!

nice try to change the format but ...
I've been listening to SDR for quite a while via iPodderX Lite (as BitTorrent) and its the best Tech- Podcast out there. Yes it is slow downloading the quality stream via BitTorrent but the other new format (40 kBit/s mp3) is just not acceptable!!! The Low Bandwidth Feed sounds like an old tape on an aged Walkman. Why not AAC, since mp3 needs more space and has less quality! The sound quality of speech has to bee good, otherwise I can't listen to it in a train!!

This really is refreshing and GREAT
FInally, there is something really professional and INTERSTING on a podcast ( for me) ... This should be ranked 3 or 4 imho. I am a DEVOTED LISTENER after one podcast..and thats saying a lot. Sometimes you just know what the winners are and this is a winner!

I dont think I ever heard Andy say Uhh unless it was intentional. It is the only podcast I have to pay very close attention to, to catch everything.Thats good!!I would much rather hear Andy tell me the news, than read it on slash dot. A must have for anyone wanting to stay ahead of their intellectual peers via a podcast. At the top of my podcatcher.

stumbled across the podcast while looking for something. Don't even remember what. I am old enough to have watched the original Capt Kirk broadcasts way back when. Keep it up. I don't have a podcast device, but I do have my computer. Enjoyed the interview with Rod very much. Only wish that there was a way I could save them. Ed
