| We live in a racially conscious society. The media often furthers stereotypes and racist concepts that have yet to die in memory or consciousness. Children are born with an open heart and an open mind. What they see in the world confuses and often hurts them. Our children are asking tough questions about race--and their own identity. They see the music videos, hear the slurs on the playground and compare themselves to celebrities. We need to stand up as role models to teach our children discernment and to build positive self-esteem as being an individual, despite the challenges of our society. Our children are asking--what are you going to tell them? Addicted to Race offers invaluable support, insight and stories dealing with this question. The news articles show the world as it is, and often question why. This is a site for all of us, compelling us to look beyond race and start seeing the human heart.

| The only podcast which makes sense to me. Listening to(and reading) addicted to race is painful. It is also a sobering,realistic learning experience- unlike other overabundant programs which anesthetize you in feel-good infotainment. It is a job well done.

| Thats why Im addicted to it! But seriously, thank you for a thoughtful, intelligent discussion on race and race relations. I am half Puerto Rican and half Jewish, I look like a plain ole white girl (comon, you can picture it), I grew up in the South Bronx, didn have a white friend until college, my parents were both estranged from their families, all the people who are my family are black or Puerto Rican (not relatives) and my ex-husband is African American. My experience is complex to say the least. Anyhoo, keep up the good work.

| This a perfect example of what a podcast should be; informative, thought provoking, humorous and entertaining. After listening to each podcast, I am impressed how each episode builds upon the other and how each presentation is improved. Considering the depth and seriousness of race issues in general and interracial relationships specifically, Jen and Carmen do an excellent job of raising questions, providing answers and challenging us without taking themselves too seriously. Amongst all the hype, commercialism, and misinformation available to media consumers, the Addicted to Race podcast is like a pitcher of water in Death Valley. I can wait for my next drink!

| Show title suggestion "I hate whites" |
| The only thing consistant about the hosts views is that they hate whites. I can only listen to about 5 minutes of the show because it is absolute crap. Example, they pick on the "Everybody Hates Chris" show for perpetuating the "black mother shrew" stereotype. Since Chris Rock is black and the writer and executive producer, that makes him someone who is stereotyping his own race. Does that make any sense? Another example, they ranted about whites for not correctly pronouncing ethnic names, then they mentioned Nicolas Cage's son's name, not knowing or caring if they were pronouncing it correctly. They passed it off with an, "oh well, it's not a ethnic name, it's a fictional name." No! It was a fictional name and now it's a person's name. Learn to pronounce it correctly you hypocrites! They complain about white privilege when they themselves attended elite private colleges which cost $132,000 for a four year degree. What a couple of snobby spoiled little rich princesses.
