The best podcast ever
I have listened to almost 100 manager tools podcast for the past 3 months, which means almost one per day and I just cant get enough. Mark and Mike just nail it! And although it appears to be a bit US centric on first glance, it really is NOT. It truly is usable for everyone. Sadly I have to admit that once you start listening to this podcast you start realizing how bad management currently is around you and that gives me the creep. On the other hand it encourages me to focus on all recommendations of the podcasts to become a managerial rockstar! :-) Thanks guys, keep it up

Commenting from TURKEY
Dear Mike and Mark, Thank you for the great podcasts on helping to become an effective manager and for the most important a leader. I am the managing director of a research and consulting company specialized in economic and social development in Turkey. The company belongs to an international group based in Netherlands. There are some other 21 offices in the group operating in 10 countries across the Europe. We are running large scale technical assistance projects funded by the European Commission to support Turkey in its accession process. We work with people from public, private and not-for-profit sectors and apply our expertise on economic and social development. Your podcasts were the great tool to improve my relationship with people, the way how I communicate with them. Now I can see real improvement on the change of the behaviors both from my side and my team. We better understand each other, work more effectively and deliver high quality outputs on time. Many thanks and please keep up the good work. Kind Regards Berk Babila

Scratch Mine I've Scratched Yours
Hello Gentlemen, I want to thank you for your continued time and effort. It is most helpful and insightful. I'm far from being a manager or higher up. I'm just a lowly CAD Technician looking to learn and apply. You two have done a beautiful job of breaking things down for all. I'll continue to listen and spread the word. With that said I have a question and some info of my own to share. I 'm having trouble downloading off of your site as well as podcastalley. Could someone direct me to the path of the download that works? A really good book for any manager to read is. Dale Carnegie's HOW TO WIN FRIENDS AND INFLUENCE PEOPLE. Good luck to you all and keep it coming!

Greatest podcast ever
I have asked present and former employers for support, coaching and feedback in order to become a better manager. None have been able to deliver anything really useful so far. I have attended the typical off-site, 1-2 day "manager trainings", but this is just not the right thing. Manager Tools delivers exactly what I need: tools to change and improve my own behavoiur. And so too for my direct reports and other people around me. Including my own boss. And it is for free.

THE BEST! By far and bar none. If you manage people, this is THE BEST USE of YOUR MOST PRECIOUS RESOURCE -- time -- that you can possibly spend on your own own professional development. And its FREE. Which makes it seem like a blessing heaven sent. My two cents on why this show is so important: In my experience, the further you rise up the corporate ladder, the more it seems that the "hard skills" Ive mastered in 18+ years of schooling, another dozen or more stress-filled, ulcer-inducing years on the job and dutifully documented as the hard-earned credentials listed on my resume...All those years of blood, sweat and tears? Ain worth shit. Its all just a heap of bupkis. Suddenly your success is all about "soft skills" and "emotional intelligence". If you e like me, this bupkis bullshit basically amounts to your skills in "butt-kiss". And if you don have that skill, but do appreciate that -- as disagreeable as it seems -- you do need to know it to succeed, then Manager Tools is the place to be. The MT weekly podcasts are THE place to turn bupkiss bullshit into your own personal can of whoop ass. Get more respect. Make more money. Plus, youll be a better person for it. Its the smart choice for smart managers. On a scale of 1-10, I give this show an eleven. 10 out of 10, plus one more. Because they always do their listeners one more better than expected.

Computer geek learns to manage-- and stand out doing it
I stumbled across your podcast and started from the beginning, and I already see improvements over the last 2 months of applying your basics. In fact, my bosss boss has noticed Im playing a key role for turning around two low performers. Now please understand the significance, Im a computer geek at heart, and I have regarded management as one of the least interesting things I could possibly spend my time on. I love inventing and creating things that have never existing, which requires teams of people working effectively. The models you have explained gave me tangible ways to spend time doing what I love, in a way redefining management for me. Thanks you very much. I will definitely recommend you.
