Hi guys, First of all, I just want to say well done and this is a great podcast :) I just have a small comment about how the Scrubbs' lifestyle has a negative or at least mocking tone in the book. I think that's just because at that time in history, those lifestyles were rather odd and strange. I mean, not drinking, smoking, vegetarianism is common place now and is seen as healthy now, but this was 60 years ago. I think then, it was just seen as weird - that alcohol and cigarettes would be seen as luxury and presumably if you have access to them, why wouldn't you want to have them?
