Our guest on Monday, August 24 will be Eric Elnes. Eric is the Senior Minister of Countryside United Church of Christ in Omaha, NE who has received a PH.D. from Princeton Theological Seminary. He is the author of The Phoenix Affirmations and Asphalt Jesus. He was the co-founder of CrossWalk America, a group dedicated to promoting progressive Christianity. He has also worked to promote the use of art in worship, leading many conferences where he shares his method for producing mutli-sensory worship experiences. Still looking for greater variety in guests. This shouldnt JUST be for the liberal or progressive Christians, but for Christians of all ideologies, provided they are willing to have civil and honest dialogue. Also, I have to confess Im bored by the music. While I respect the desire to highlight some folks who wouldnt necessarily get noticed otherwise, Ive taken to just fast-forwarding past them. Just What the Church Needs
Thoughtful reflection on the church without all the hype and hate that colors too much of the discussion about the church and culture. Bruce and Carol are bringing what the Church needs.
