Episode 212: Hello Tonu, I started listening to Podcast after a long break. Santinikataner Chithi is my favourite so I could not adhere in chronological order. In the first letter Hirenda's comment about Gurudev's ideology against Nationalism. was very true. I feel in a country during freedom fighting period to ignore narrow Nationalism by common people was difficult but Gurudev Rabindranath's thinking was much superior than that of then common Indians. Bhuluda's writing paints my mind the picture of my childhood in Patha Bhaban & Ashram life. That very Sangeet Bhaban stage was built in front of my eyes I still vividly remember. The paintings of Shilpacahrya Abanindranath & Nandalal is a National Heritage but very little so called literate, Cultured Citizens of India today fail to understand. Tanaya's poems, songs, & the singing was a joy to listen. I specially enjoyed the character descriptions was today's bangaalee babus. Parashuram's story added with your reading was not only a good humour but was very interesting few minutes. Songs by Late Suchitradi is immortal, & that from Tanaya, Ramkumar & lastly from Moni was excellent. Thank you for your efforts I congraulate you. Tapasda. Submitted By: basutapas@... (on 3-2011)
