I don't have a blog associated with my podcast - just an XML file and a page that lets people play the podcast episodes directly. As far as I am aware, I can't add the cut & paste text to my XML file without causing a problem, so how should I do this in the XML file?
Peter Edit: I figured it out... add the text to the description tag for one of the items in the XML. It worked. Thanks

Two questions:
1. When I want to edit my feed, I'm only able to edit some parts, but not all the information. Whatsup with that? 2. Once I created a entry that was a duplicate of my one podcast. I need to delete it. How do I do that? -William

We allow you to claim your feed in order to validate it, to change your feed URL and for you to get recommendations on how to make your feed better. We no longer require you to type in your show name, description, keywords, genre or any other details? it is now automatically gathered from your RSS feed! A few people think that this is a crippling effect or poor implementation. However, it is indeed a planned feature. For podcasters, your feed is of nearly unlimited value to you. Unless people find your show through your website (not very common), you need to give them the best information possible through your RSS feed. If there are errors in your feed, a poor description, missing contact information, missing album art or dozens of other issues, you are limiting your marketing efforts and potential audience. >> You can read the full description as to why we do this in the Podcast Alley Blog. I don't understand what the message "CRITICAL Channel doesn't contain any enclosures (code: 2000)" is telling me or means. FeedValidator.org has validated my feed, and I haven't anything on Podcast Alley to help me to understand what this message means, or how to fix it!
Any help, please? Thanks.

I'm having an odd issue with validating my feed. This one works and is currently being used:
http://theofficealliance.com/feed/ but not all podcasts are getting listed. This is the one I'd prefer to use: http://feeds.feedburner.com/TheOfficeAlliancePodcast but it causes a bright red/pink error that no claim enclosure can be found in the feed. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance! ETA: Well, it seems to be working. Weird. Thanks, anyway!

Sorry for the late responses, but I'm not normally subscribed to this thread. The best way to get tech support for validation is in the help forum.
Jane: Feedvalidator doesn't check the availability of the enclosures, just that the tags are correct. If you have access to your stats, you'll notice that the "PCA Feed Validator" accesses at least one of your enclosures during validation. If there was a network issue or we got bad response from your server, the error will be shown. theofficealliance: Your feed will vlidate with just warning about your author tag now. If you have any trouble validating it, post in the help forum so we can keep track of the issue. phillipwilkerson: Thanks for posting to the help forum. Hopefully, were getting you taken care of.
