Well, after a few days iTunes listed my podcast earlier today. When I searched for my show, my info page doesn't reflect my up-to-date rss feed, but seems like everything imported OK. When I subscribe to it though, it imports all the current info and shows. And I'm not listed in my category yet, but I'm sure all those bugs will be worked out. I'm just happy to be listed finally! So, who knows? Maybe they're not holding off on importing podcasts...maybe it's just a slow process.

Wow! Congratulations!!
I right clicked on your podcast in the subscriptions folder and chose "show description" and it shows that the feed they are using for you is http://www.no1slistening.com/listening.xml Is that the one you submitted to them? Mine still isn't showing up :P |

Yeah, I'm using one feed for everything. It's not so much of a hassle to keep using the iTunes tags. I just copy and paste the previous show and fill in the tags. But I'm just hoping my category tags are OK. I'm not sure if that's why I'm not in my category, or if they haven't the categories yet. BTW, you casts look sweet. Love the chapters and the format. I just wish they made a PC process for chapters. Are you listed yet? |

Question for you sir, is the feed that Apple has for you, http://www.no1slistening.com/listening.xml - is it that the same url you've been using since May or is it one you've recently created? I'm trying to figure out if they listed you based off of your submission to them through the "publish a podcast" link in iTunes or if they had your feed from before and just now got around to publishing it

I'm sure a PC process will come out soon, iTunes is capable of creating AAC files so its just a matter of time. And no, I'm not listed yet Guess I'll have to sit tight and see what happens! |

I'm curious as to how Apple went about this, and if submitting it is the ONLY way to get your feed listed.
Myself and one of the actual station's on-air talent went through and put in the iTunes tags when they released their specs, the first day 4.9 came out, we were already there! I think Apple took lists from other popular sites (iPodder, audio.weblogs.com, etc.) as the intial base of podcasts. |

Does anyone know what to put in the rss feed for a movable type template to make it iTunes compliant?
I have taken each of my shows into iTunes itself and added the graphic, category, author etc... but done nothing with tags in the xml file.
