BeyondPod is a a very impressive podcasting application for the Windows Mobile operating system for several different reasons.
First among these is the fact the BeyondPod is free and open-source. While there are a variety of other free podcast applications, quality is always an issue. There is no supplemental advertising included. Nice. Second is the fact that BeyondPod has a very convenient mechanism called BeyondScheduler for scheduling the downloads of your podcasts over whatever hourly, daily, or weekly basis you prefer. The application itself is not as slick as some other programs, like Kinoma Player, but I find that it offers a lot of power and flexibility. It primarily uses PIE and is a little slower as it renders each page for each feed but its use of Media Player is very good since it remembers where you left off if you pause a feed you are listening to (or watching). Definitely worth the download. | ||||||||||||||||||
