There are three main ways in which you can make money with your podcast.
1. Generate Revenue through Commercial Sponsors
2. Make Money with Donations
3. Get Money from your Website or Blog

With the help referrals and adds you can make money so put Google adds in your podcast.
how do you put google ads in your podcast? is that by loading them on youtube and participating in their partner program?

Podcasts can make money only in combination with all other marketing methods. I do not believe that this may be a separate earnings form.

it is possible to make money with podcasting
but it will be with combination of some more marketing methods only

1. Sell your content
2. Donations
3. Run ads within your podcast
4. Promote a sponsor within your podcast
5. Run ads on your webpage and use your podcast to drive traffic
6. Sell your own product
7. Sell Professional Services
8. Sell Training
9. Affliate Sales
10. Affliate Lead Generation

I'd say the ads would be the most immediate revenue stream on your list. But that depends on listeners clicking on the ads, so it isn't guaranteed.
As far as selling a service with a podcast, that's got me curious. A friend of mine wants to start an online business. I'm building a website for her but now I'm wondering if anyone here has had good results with podcasting their business on the side (video or audio)?
