Has this happened to anyone else?
Today I got an email from one of my listeners (I do two podcasts), asking me:
".... by any chance do you ever do voiceovers for videos? My company is releasing a new product later this year, and we are going to have a professional how-to video as well as a quick demo video completed for our website. Your voice sounds great on the podcasts. I didn't know if you possibly did any side work as well?"
Pretty cool, huh? A new career beckons!
Now I just have to figure out how much to charge.

Plan on spending three times the amount of time. So if they want a 1 minute vocie over. Plan on 3-5 minutes (as you need to rehearse, set up gear). Also, put into place how many times a person gets a "redo" for free. I do voice over work for podcasters. So I have them send me a version of them doing the voice over (so I can get emphasis and inflection) and then I do it.
