Social Networking.... does it work?

My podcast is 2 shows from episode 7 & I'm hoping to get listeners. I've heard that social networking works. The thing is... I really hate FaceBook & MySpace.

Is there any other way I can get listeners? Any ideas...

Social networking is necessary not only for getting new listeners but for interacting with listeners. Everyone want to interact these days. And it's free. Otherwise you may need to spend some money to get your podcast noticed. Another way is to post on forums. Anyway, you need to get to like social networking in this digital world.
