Hey guys, just wanted to give a quick background before I get into my questions.
I have done a podcast before, although I posted it on a different site than this one. When I was recording it, I was just using the studios at CSB School of Broadcasting since they had everything I needed, but since they closed, I'm looking to get it restarted up. So I am somewhat familiar with boards, mics, and Adobe Audition 1.5. Typically what I did then was just record with audio with my partner, put the intro and outro together afterwards and posted the finished product.
Like I said, my old studio isnt around anymore, and I wanted to get restarted up. I got a general idea of what I need when I went to B&H today. Basically, I want to have a 2 mic setup with a simple board (likely the Behringer XENYX 802), but I also want to take callers. The salesman pushed me towards the THAT-2 since we plan on having 2 mics, and I guess that was so both people in our studio will be able to hear the caller. But that is a $200 piece of equipment not counting the wires and all that stuff and obviously if I can save money, thats always good, since I'm currently looking at $540 for everything I need. I did look on eBay and see these but I have no idea if they will do what I am looking to do.

If its a matter of needing the That-2 because of how its setup as opposed to the That-1, would it be possible for me to rig a couple of the eBay ones and I guess with a split wire have it work like the That-2, or are the eBay ones just garbage that wouldnt do what I want it to do anyways?
