I have been looking for some comedy podcasts and subscribed to Red Bar Radio which is on the Top 10 list of podcast alley. Well after listening to this horrible show, I cannot understand why this is popular unless the whole of listeners are bigoted racists as well. They frequently hurl homophobic slurs as well as racial slurs to and about listeners. I am appalled that this podcast is even popular. Good comics and hosts do not need to rely on cheap stunts like this to gain listeners. It is clear that these men have no talent and some deeper issues as well. I believe in free speech but not hate speech. As a person of color I am just so sad that people still feel it is okay to insult others in such a harmful way. Please do not listen to this disgusting show and maybe they will get their act together

Red Bar Radio is a great show, it's not racist or homophobic, everything said is always meant in jest. As the warning at the top of the show states -
"it's a joke, it's a comedy show, don't take everything we say seriously "
The show has a lot of black and asian listeners and many of them have said in the past that the show is not racist. It's all about the sense of humour you have I guess.
They like their comedy to be a little edgy and on the edge of what is considered 'politically correct' and that is part of the attraction to the show. It's escapism from 'normal people thinking'
This show is not racist.

You miss the point of the show. What you perceive as racial slurs and hate speech is done jokingly. Never has Mike or any of the hosts been hateful towards a race. People listen to Red Bar to escape from a politically-correct populous of people that treat each other with kid gloves. I'm hispanic and have been a fan of the show for three years because I understand that. Words are WORDS and can't possibly offend you unless you let it. There's even a warning at the beginning of every show that should be an indication that's its a JOKE. Grow a pair. You whine.

I am a person of color.. wow I sound so retarded just typing that.. anyway, either you are a 13 year old, 51 year old, or have no sense of humor. I listen to RBR and it is a very funny show that helps me get by at work. ;)

You might not have the sense of humor to understand this show and there is nothing wrong with that.
As stated before, the show has a clear warning right at the beginning.
"It's a joke, it's a comedy show.......don't take everything we say seriously and just enjoy the show babies"
Being PC is lame, words can only offend you if you let them. I for one am Jewish and have never been offended by anything RB has said. Don't be so sensitive and just laugh.
Also I'm guessing you only listened to one episode, it takes at least three, but after three you'll be in love forever!

Well, first off, your inability to mention specific examples leads me to believe you barely listened to the show. You constantly say how racist they are, however never follow up with why, or even passing specifics. You smell like someone who gets outraged for attention. Free speech = Free speech, it is every person's right to say whatever they want as long as no on else is hurt physically or has their property damaged. We are all free to hate whoever we want. You may not like it, and you may get a bunch of creeps to agree with you, but they still have the right to say whatever they want, despite your moniker of "hate speech".

First of all, i'm black and i've listened to RedBar for well over a year. I never miss a show. It's one of my favorite podcasts. The reason i started listening is BECAUSE they are not afraid to say politically incorrect things when it comes to race, gender etc. In todays world, i think that's really important. People are ready to get offended over anything these days
As someone mentioned before, the disclaimer states "it's a joke, it's a comedy show. don't take everything we say seriously and just enjoy the show babies"
and if you really think about it, the things they say are probably things you would say among your friends or that you think yourself. i know that's true for me
redbar rocks!

I am a nurse in a Paediatric Hospital. I routinely work in trauma and ICU and see the very worst of the human condition at it's most fragile and damaged. If I were not able to listen to a show like Red Bar Radio with it's acerbic humor and it's underlying message of love to all races, genders, sexual orientations I would have taken a gun and blown my brains out long ago.
Political correctness has gone too far - god bless Red Bar Radio.

Stop being a victim. Every joke is not personally targeting you. Just relax and listen to the show. It's a funny show and you would see that if you would stop acting like the world is against you. The best thing about the show is that there are no boundaries. It would be horrific if they censored themselves. Knock it off idiot.

well uh, i'm not a person of color but they also make fun of white people and themselves for being white all the time.
so what? who cares. just because you're born a certain way doesn't give you a 'pass' we all belong in the same craphole and all deserve in one way or another to be mocked.
if you're so self-absorbed that when someone says a word regarding your race and you systematic take it as a finger being pointed to you then please take a breath and re-evaluate that thought process.
on another note defending every racist comment you hear must be freakin exhausting so props to that i bet you sleep like an angel.

They have been and always will be a real podcast. They were on AM for a while but got booted because they didn't have a delay and one of the co-hosts couldn't watch their mouth.
