Ok, I have been doing my podcast for around 2 years now, but just recently I have a small but extremly annoying problem, I just cant seem to solve.
My set up has always been a mic/headset and basic recording through skype, with Mxskype recorder.
Let me just say the set up and recording has been perfectly OK for my situation, but when I tell you the problem you will then see why I'm asking for help.
OK, my audio records in 2 stereo channels for ease of editing, to which i save into a single mono recording for my final show edit.
Now whats been happening is this, when the co-host speaks, (which comes through my headset), I get an everso slight feedback of his voice on my side of the audio track.
Which in turn leads to a dam long edit just to get rid of these annoying feedback problems
Things I have tried to cure it..I have recently bought a desktop standalone mic, hoping the audio would not be picked up through the headphones...but it STILL picks up slight feedback.
I have also tried volume and mic level changes to see if that can stop it, but nope.
So really guys, what would your suggestions be to try and cure this annoying problem.
its being caused by the cans not being big enough to cover my ears therefore the sound is leaking and being picked up by any mic, so maybe a large set of headphones may work??.
Or any other suggestions for me to try would really help, also I may add, cost is an issue, as most podcasters are on a strict budget..
Thanks for your time.
