theres a great free atly converter at http://www.thefreewarehouse.com (http://www.thefreewarehouse.com/) that converts just about anything to anything really quick. It also rips streams and stuff to.

I think that Free M4a to MP3 Converter (http://www.mymusictools.com/audio_converters_4/free_m4a_to_mp3_converter_26542.htm) whould be perfect for you to convert m4a songs to mp3. This program is freeware, very simple and can convert files with high speed.

If you don't want to install anything than I've used http://www.fileminx.com in the past for M4A conversion - doesn't cost anything either.
