Hi,

I really hope you guys don't consider this spam =/

My name is Jeremy and I am a senior at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston. I am currently working on a project involving podcasting, and I thought it would be a good opportunity to get a first hand response from you guys on a few things. I have found that forums are a plethora of knowledge, as long as you don't troll and rub people the wrong way (I hope these questions don't do that). I hope you can find the time to answer a couple of questions for me. If you can help me further, for example: pictures of your set up, etc that would be very helpful.

If you would rather respond by email, you can reach me at oggj@wit.edu

1. What software do you use?
2. What equipment do you have in your set up?
3. Have you ever upgraded your equipment in your career of casting? If so, why?
4. About how often do you broadcast?
5. Are there any technological problems that limit how often you can record?
6. Within your setup, what do you find a hindrance, or just needs to be improved to make creating your show easier?
7. Do you feel as though podcasting is user friendly, or could it be improved?
8. Where do you see podcasting in 5 years?
9. If not the same as question 7, where do you want podcasting to be in 5 years?
10. Do you belong to any forums or online communities for podcasting?
11. How do you keep up with current events (newspapers, tv, etc)?
12. Do you think that newspapers, the radio, and tv are all going to be replaced with the internet?
13. Do you listen to podcasts? If so, which?
14. Is podcasting for you, your fulltime job/part time job/hobby/etc?
15. Could you see podcasts predominantly live with interaction like what is seen on the television or heard on the radio, where callers can call in? I know some podcasts do this already, but in your opinion, do you think the community would be accepting of such an idea?

Thank you for your time, I greatly appreciate it!

Jeremy
