Hi everyone:

I have decided to retire my altar ego of "Pats Podcast" since no podcasts with that name have been published in months. In lieu of that, I am announcing the launch of an all-political podcast called The Left Wing Conservative, which will be in audio AND video formats.

The audio version is in standard 128K MP3. The video version will be in Quicktime/iPod/iPhone compatible MP4 as well as in 3GP format for video-enabled cell phones & other portable devices.

This will be the official updates thread for The Left Wing Conservative.

The show runs the gamut of all things national & world politics.

I have yet to setup a page for the video version (Though I have a good idea where it'll be hosted). This will be done tomorrow as Saturday is when I plan to do my video show.

Once it's been posted, an update announcing this will be posted here.

After ironing out some issues, Episode 9 as well Episode 10 of the TV version of The Left Wing Conservative have been posted.

In Episode 9 (Which I had problems posting until last night), I offer my take on the Tea Party now that they're going after Democrats & not so much the "Old Guard" Republican Party. This is the first show (On Radio or TV) since Congress has returned to session.

Episode 10 is a milestone show. In it I cover my take on the BOTH of the Recent "Take Back America" Washington Rallies, the Republicans & their attempts at playing RUSSIAN ROULETTE with the lives of our troops (And ultimately OUR lives!) & take a look at THE ANTIQUATION of DADT in & as it relates to today's military & National Security needs.

This week, I responded to Vice President Joe Biden's "Buck Up" show up to the polls call to America by calling upon the White House to GIVE US A REASON WHY WE SHOULD "Buck Up" & show up at the polls.

I cited almost EVERY broken promise since the passage of Health Care as examples as to why many Americans (Liberals AND Conservatives alike) who are FED UP WITH BOTH SIDES feel as though they should just simply stay home & sit this one out.

(JFTR though, I have EVERY INTENTION of showing up at my polling place on November 2nd :) ).

While this isn't DIRECTLY related to podcasting, it does affect those who watch my show live.....

In an effort to increase viewer participation & viewership in general (Thanks to my Facebook Page for the show which I've been building over the last several weeks), I have decided to move the TV show from UStream (http://www.ustream.tv/) to StickAM (http://www.stickam.com/) (StickAM has an OFFICIAL Facebook Player App which enables people on Facebook to watch the show from there).

The show day & time however will not change. It will remain on Mondays @ 5:00 PM ET / 2:00 PM PT & will still last around two hours.

The show will also get a new look as well.

As soon as I get it, I will start wearing an overhead latex Halloween mask of President George W. Bush for as long as the REPUBLICANTS have control of Congress.

Why? Simple. How many of you remember 1994 & the so-called Contract To America which the last Republicant-controlled Congress promised to us? The so-called Pledge To America is merely A MODERNIZED VERSION of the so-called Contract To America IMO. Remember what happened to the Republicants IN THE VERY NEXT ELECTION?? I'll let you draw your own conclusions (I don't think those here who voted Republicant really want history to bear them out on that :D )

Why Dubya you ask? That too is simple.

Of the MANY things we can criticize Dubya for, being TOUGH AS NAILS when it comes to getting things done isn't one of them. I'm hoping that President Obama will take this approach this time around by learning when to FIND THE F*CKIN BALLS to call up the Capitol Hill PD & the Secret Service & tell them not to let ANYONE who is a Senator or member of Congress out of the Capitol on occasion. Bush did it. So did Clinton.

Will it work? I dunno. I hope so. Will it get attention? Honestly, I really don't care (Though it would nice if it DID springboard me to pundit stardom ;) )

But not doing ANYTHING AT ALL I think would be THE ABSOLUTE WORST thing I could do IMO.

Anyhow.....Just wanted to make this announcement.....

Episode 12 of The Left Wing Conservative Radio show has been posted. Here's what was covered.....

Finally an announcement.....

EFFECTIVE JANUARY 4TH The TV version of The Left Wing Conservative will now be posted NO EARLIER than WEDNESDAYS
EFFECTIVE JANUARY 7TH The Radio version of The Wing Conservative will now be posted NO EARLIER than FRIDAY NIGHTS

That is due to a RL commitment that directly affects the Radio show, I'm having to change the days I do my shows LIVE. That of course affects the podcasting of the archive later, The only reason it affects the TV show is I need to have at least a full news day between the Radio show & the TV show each week to have enough content for each show.

Not to worry though - Stay tuned RIGHT HERE for the very latest developments as they will be posted.
