After signing my band up to podshow.com Ive been looking to
get the band's music onto some podcasts, either full songs on
music podcasts or on non musical shows as intro outro music
(because my shows seem to have really poor intro music), yet
after a few hours scouting it seems there is very little structure
for linking musicians and podcasters..

Obviously there is podcasters out there that need and want
music but it seems the only way to find them is by pot luck,
checking out shows 1 by 1 for suitability and mailing them to
say 'check out the bands music, would you be interested in
playing it?'

Is there any better avenues?

Cheers, A

I host an itunes podcast which is advertised on many sites , it is very new but is gaining an audience. I would be happy to play anything by your band, just get in touch. You can hear the podcast from here - http://www.chuckgpodcast.co.uk

Try the podsafe music network and participating in forums where podcasters gather like this one. Make sure you put the availability of your music in your signature.
