So a class I'm taking requires listening to some podcasts put out by the instructor, however our link to access these podcasts leads to a page that has quicktime as the default player and does not seem to have been uploaded in such a manner that we can d/l to our own portable devices.

If anyone has an idea as to how this can be accomplished without purchasing the "pro" edition of quicktime I'd really appreciate it.

I'd like to put the link up so others could access these files, however it's on a secure site and the link would be pointless.

Any help is appreciated!

You can save to mp3 from itunes. Try googling 'export mp3 from itunes' or something like that.

I don't have Itunes installed otherwise i'd tell you how to do it.

That's the problem though...it's popping up as quicktime and the only "save" type options I have to d/l the file off the page is downloading the web address, not the actual file I'm trying to get a hold of...if I could get the file on my hard drive I'd be able to manipulate it as needed, but the complication comes in trying to get it off the site...

Is it possible to download a file such as this (labeled as a podcast but playing as quicktime)?
