Noob co host needs help.

I might become the co host of a podcast, and need some software for that. Being co host would involve my Skyping the host who is recording. I already have a working microphone and Skype. What I want to be able to do is play a sound clip, for example, a rimshot, that we can both hear clearly and his recording software can pick up clearly. Right now, I'm using Soundplant (http://soundplant.org) as a sound trigger software, and Audacity as a recording software. Anyone know what to do?
