Where is the best place to host a pod cast in order to bring traffic to a company website?

Don't depend on the host to bring you traffic. Choose the host based on price (some are free), features (libsyn gives you a nice blog, and control over your template html, but costs at least $5 per month), etc.
Wherever your podcast is hosted, you will need to go out on the Web and promote it - that is, talk about in place which are likely to attract listeners.

Good info. Also check that your host has good up time if you going to go for a free one.

I know this is a n00b question, but will a standard web host like StartLogic or GoDaddy be good enough, or is there some special application or configuration for Podcasts that a host must have?
not realy... you just need webspace and a lot of traffic-bandwith
to create a blog for your podcast you need also PHP and MySql (or something similiar)
