Hey guys,
I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions regarding to tweaking your mic input in garageband. I have a logitech usb headset and I'd love to get the very most out of it as far as quality goes.
Does anyone have any general suggestions?
Or possibly a link to a tweaking guide?
Thanks a ton.

You know, it's a little different for each program. You should also be more specific about what you think needs tweaking. Since not every voice or recording environment is the same, and without a specific issue (or two), it would be impossible to write about all the things you can do to enhance your recordings in this forum.
If you can't be more specific, I would suggest you Google for books about Garageband. Or you can check Apple's site. Here's a good starting point. (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93615)

That's why I enquired about general suggestions...
Thanks for the apple doc link though.

"General suggestions" can be anything from using a compressor filter, to adjusting treble, or something physical with your mic set up. That's why you should at least have the courtesy to be a little more specific about the issues you're having. Generally speaking.

Excuse me for not being an audio engineer, I guess I'll have to acquire this esoteric knowledge you apparently have before asking any "general" questions here again.

I'm no audio engineer either, but does it take that much effort or knowledge to know if you hear something in your recording that you don't like?
A good example of a general question that would highlight an issue someone might be having would be, "I've got a hiss when I record, is there something I can use to get rid of it?"
Just saying you want to tweak something is especially vague. But whatever. It's not my effort you'll be wasting from now on. Good luck with tweaking whatever it is you want to tweak.
