Hey everyone
I cohost a podcast that reviews other podcasts and recommends what podcasts people should listen to. Part of the podcast is that I invite people to the podcast and talk to the person about podcasting and about themselves. I was wondering what you guys think about this idea, what you guys think about the podcast so far (opr.podbean.com), or if you guys want to be on the podcast, send me a pm or an email at occasionalpodreview@gmail.com. Thanks for the feedback.

Cool, well naturally I dig the idea because we're trying to do a similar thing at DailySplice. I'm taking a beating over on a similar thread I posted a few days ago about our show, so I'm not exactly qualified to give tips... but I will say way to go with scoring an interview with the TRS guys! That instantly makes your podcast way cooler than ours! haha.
Anyway, if you'll have us we'd happily to go on your show. Just fire us an email at info [at] dailysplice com. or maybe you'd even like to go on ours? We'll be sure to give you a shout out at any rate (for what it's worth). Good luck!

Bad wording, I hope. People should make up their own minds. Better would have been: "... and recommends podcasts to listeners." (or similar). Small difference in words, big difference in what it means and implies.

To be honest, it's kind of hard to say what I think of your idea without actually hearing it in action. I suppose I could take the time to look you up, but in all fairness, you invited our opinions which means you should probably post a link to your show. If not for the convenience of your thread's readers, then out of a sense of politeness and netiquette.

Actually, he posted the URL ... just not as a link.

OK, let me rephrase that... please post working links.

BTW Netiquette is far overrated, it seems. It stems from an era when people thought sharing was more important than monetizing and that if your question was answered by someone in the community, it was your duty to help someone else in that same community. Nowadays, I see people acting like this: Can you help me, followed by: Thanks, and you don't hear anything back from them ever again (or they ask some new questions). Some people just use a community for their own benefit, as community parasites.
I miss those early days of the Internet, when Usenet was something users used to help each other, and the Web was that new thing, that would never amount to anything. Yes, there was the occasional flame, but it was all in good spirit and mutual understanding. We were all geeks and mainstream hadn't discovered the medium (online communication) yet.
Sorry for the melancholic rant.
