View Full Version : Length of podcast is different than iTunes thinks it is

I created and submitted a podcast to iTunes. The RSS.xml file specifies: length="590655", which is the byte size as seen in GetInfo. The duration is set to: <itunes:duration>0:31</itunes:duration>, which is the duration as seen in QuickTime Player. When I initially subscribe to the podcast, the Podcast title shows up as :31, but then quickly changes to :42 (which is then reflected in the one and only episode). When I play the podcast in iTunes, it shows as if there is :42 of length, but the playback diamond in the controller of course only goes to the actual file length's end, and then returns to zero. How do I correct this? Thanks.

What is the name of your podcast? What is the address of the RSS file? Maybe I can help you figure it out.
