Most experts agree the United States is in an economic downturn, mostly as the result of the subprime lending fiasco. Perhaps smart entrepreneurs should leave the States and go Asia. It seems that the future will happen in that region.

Europe is too busy with internal squabbles, the US is too busy with playing the world's police, but Asia is just too busy with business to be bothered with all the before mentioned.

It's all cyclical. It's pretty rare that all the world's economies are doing well or poorly at the same time. Also, bear in mind there are many, many countries in this world that would love to have the "souring" economy that the US has right now.
