A Little Help Please

Hello. I am new to podcasting and have recorded my first show. However, somewhere I made a mistake in processing my podcast. Can someone please give me a step by step process for after recording your podcast? I'm confusing on the kbps settings. After I export my mp3 from Audacity.. what do I do with it in itunes? Since its been exported as an mp3 do I just use itunes to put in the information(title, artist, artwork)? I need to know to set what to what and to do what to what. this podcast will be music/talking
