Red Bar Vote or Die

Mike D of Red Bar Radio has decided to force his listeners to keep him in the top ten on the Alley by threatening to cancel the show everytime the show falls below #10 on Podcast Alley. This new campaign is charmingly entitled Vote or Die. Since most of his listeners are mindless clones, 16 years old or younger it has had some immediate success. We shall see what happens when he runs out of teens to vote. The show has not been either very funny or creative in quite a while.

I dared not to agree with the new policy so I got banned from his forum. He has some major control issues. The show used to be funny but now it is very hit and miss and sometimes there is no show when he has has a date.

What I fail to understand is why. Being high on the list at Podcast Alley really does nothing other than inflate egos. Anyone knowledgeable about podcasting knows that it's a popularity contest anyway and is not indicitive of how many listeners one has. If that were the case, TWiT would be in the top 10 all the time. Sheesh!!!

I'm far from my teen years and I think Redbar is quite funny. I agree it is inconsistant. If it wasn't so fluid it might be improved with an edit. I don't see how you can gripe about D's demand for votes. I was always baffled by the show remaining off the top ten. It is much better that many of the other top ten shows.

I like that he booted someboby from the forum for calling him a bitch and then wrote a song to them. It is D's ball so he can decide when the game is over.

I personally think this show is horrible and anybody who remotly likes it has no sense of humor what so ever. It's not funny and ****ing retarted. I imagine a lot of people will agree that this show used to be good and about 2 months ago i unsubscribed due to this being quite the **** tastic show. **** it and Mike D you might wanna find a new job other than comedy because you suck

I gotta hand it to you, Mike-a-roo! Nice way to bring in the ringers to drum up a little "controversy."

However, a man with real finesse would have told his minions to post in a couple of other threads first in order to bring up their post count a bit and make it a less transparent stunt. Still I give you an "A" for ingenuity, even if the execution was sloppy. :p
