My best friend and I want to start a podcast show. She lives in Arizona and I live in Northern Virginia. I use a Mac and she uses Windows. I am the tech savvy person, so I'd be managing the podcast. Can we use Skype to do our podcast show? Any suggestions on how to record and edit the show? We'd like to launch our first podcast in August 2007, but I have no idea where to begin nor what equipment we both need to make this work.Any help is greatly appreciated.

The Skype option has been mentioned lots of times on here, I suggest you search the forums.

Another option would be talkshoe.com

I have the same set up with a buddy in another state. I use the gizmo project. it has direct record functionality and is free to another gizmo caller, like skype. I use audacity after to convert the wav file to a mp3.

I would like to know how to configure my computer to record sound from the computer at the same time so we could use funny clips from a flash soundboard in the live recording (not adding it in after). Any suggestions on this would be appreciated.
