Hi folks, I haven't been to the alley for months. I thought I'd pop in to do a quick advertisement for my PupuPlayer. If you aren't using it already, I wanted to let you know about the PupuPlayer! It's a podcast player for your website or myspace or whatever. There is also a PupuPlayer PRO, for only $15 you can brand the player's image area with your logo and even put in custom slideshows!

The PupuPlayer PRO also supports any video quicktime can play (.mov, .mp4 etc). There are many other features, just go to http://www.pupuplayer.com to try it out! Let me know if you have any questions.

I've used PuPu since it was first made available.

It's great. Get it. Use it. You'll love it.

I'm a little confused by the product description of the PuPuPlayer PRO on your website and what you're saying here. When you say it can plat any QT video file, is it scaled to the 145x145 image area? Or is the video otherwise limited in size by the aspect of the video window?

Boiled down to this, the question I'm really asking is if I want my videos to play in a window no smaller than 320x240 and as large as 640x480, will the PuPu Pro be able to display that? It's gotta at least handle 320x240.

To answer you question WyethDigital, the PupuPlayer PRO has a 145x145 image area where your 'album art' is usually displayed. This area is viewable when you are listening to mp3 files on the player. We've also built in the ability to make custom slideshows in this area to display visuals for anything you're talking about at that moment. Or maybe flipping up an advertisement if you have sponsors.

When you are displaying video, it is usually shown in 320x240. For those who don't understand why it's so small, it's because of the resolution of the video ipod. We wanted to match it to keep our player compact and less obtrusive.

I hope this answers your questions. Thanks for your interest in the PupuPlayer PRO!

Answers most of what I wanted to know! I have one other question, though. Does the movie show in the "image area" or in it's own pane? In other words, if you have a video podcast and artwork or sponsors, is someone able to watch the video and see the artwork or an ad in the image area? Or does the movie take that spot over?

I actually tried Pupuplayer. It launched incredibly slowly, so I moved on.
