Radio Adventures Of Dr. Floyd Begins Season 6!
Burbank, CA, May 13, 2007 ? The longest running, professionally produced, audio drama podcast, The Radio Adventures Of Dr. Floyd has begun its sixth season. Doctor Floyd Industries has begun production on thirteen brand new episodes of the family friendly podcast featuring more of the historical hilarity that fans have come to expect from the show.
The series will also continue it?s long standing tradition of welcoming special celebrity guests to the show to portray famous historical figures. In the past, celebrity guest guests including Jeffrey Tambor, Don Novello, June Foray and Chuck McCann have appeared on the show. To kick off Season 6, Maria Bamford of The Comedians Of Comedy fame portrays Amelia Earhart along with a cameo from Mystery Science Theater 3000?s Frank Conniff as Earhart?s co-pilot Fred Noonan.
Future guest stars have signed on for Season 6 as well, including one show co-creator Grant Baciocco is particularly excited about. ?I don?t want to say too much about this guest? says Baciocco. ?But it?s someone big and someone who has influenced the show tremendously.? Tight lipped Baciocco promises fans won?t have to wait long as this guest will be in the second and third episodes of the season.
This current run of the show will also feature a few Special Edition episodes include the first ?fan written? episode. ?Last year we encouraged our younger fans to submit episode ideas based on the history of their hometowns? says Baciocco. ?We got a ton of great entries and it was hard to pick just one. After months of deliberation we did and we couldn?t be happier with the result.?
Since November of 2004, The Radio Adventures Of Dr. Floyd has steadily built listenership with wacky tales of the World?s Most Brilliant Scientist, Dr. Floyd, as he races through history, hot on the heels of his arch nemesis, Dr. Steve. The show is currently under development as a TV show and feature film.
The Radio Adventures Of Dr. Floyd is a weekly, 5 minute, family friendly show that combines the fast paced, episodic hilarity of Rocky & Bullwinkle and the imagination inducing power of ?old time? radio.
