Hi everyone:
Plain & simple....
The Main PodShow Site (http://www.podshow.com/) is WAY too heavy on the graphics. THIS NEEDS TO BE IMPROVED.
I mean, I can BARELY navigate the site without my browser freezing up and/or bringing my system to its knees. THIS HAPPENS WHEN I USE IE, FIREFOX, SEAMONKEY, NETSCAPE **AND** OPERA (All latest versions).
I can navigate the Podsafe Music Network (http://music.podshow.com/) portion of the site with very few, if any, issues at all. But the Main PodShow site (http://www.podshow.com/) is a whole different ballgame altogether.
My specs. are as follows....AMD Duron 1 Ghz. CPU
Windows XP Home Edition (With Service Pack 2 & DirectX 9.0 installed)
512 MB RAM
ATI RADEON 9250 3D Graphics Card (With Latest Drivers Installed)
Other specs. available on request.
In any case, if I can barely manage to navigate the Main PodShow site (http://www.podshow.com/), then how can I expect my listeners and viewers to do the same? Why should I put them through the same kind of torture just to get to my show's page so they can subscribe??
You guys keep saying that content is king when it comes to building a good website. But having TOO MUCH content (Or content that's TOO GRAPHICAL can KILL a good website too.
Just something you guys at PodShow might wanna think about & take into consideration the next time you go to "upgrade" the site....
Cheers :D
