Hi all,
This is not related to podcasting specifically but I'm hoping someone can help. I need to connect three mp3 songs together so there is no space at all between them. I have no clue where to start. Any suggestions for this idiot would sure be appreciated. Free software would be great. It is for my daughter's graduation ceremony and I have procrastinated too long!
Thanks very much for any help.

MP3 files can actually just be concatenated together. If you're comfortable with the dos prompt, try this:
Copy firstfile.mp3 finalfile.mp3
type secondfile.mp3 >> finalfile.mp3
type thirdfile.mp3 >> finalfile.mp3
And then open up finalfile.mp3 in whatever program you want to play music in and test it out.

If you're on a Mac OS box, use GarageBand. You can drop in the three files in separate tracks and then tweak the transition point by moving each track until you get the gaposis you want.

You can concatenate mp3 files together as long as they have no ID3v1 or ID3v2 tags. These sit at the headers and footers of a file and can introduce errors if they're copied into the middle of a file.
