Loading Podcasts into iTunes 7

My apologies in advance for asking a terribly naive newbie question :confused: , but I'm trying to subscribe to Podcast Alley podcasts and load them into iTunes 7, but all I see in the Podcast Alley podcast download section is the option to either copy a feed URL "into your podcasting software" or to use a separate download app.

I've searched iTunes 7 help and haven't found anything that references how to enter a URL feed address in order to subscribe. Can someone either tell me how to get Podcast Alley podcasts into iTunes or at least point me in the direction of reference material?

Hi there, Eltonron.

There a couple of different ways you can add a podcast to iTunes:

1) Naturally, the iTunes directory is chock full of them, but since they only show 1,000 per category, it's kind of hard to browse around casually and find something new.

2) Second, most podcaster's will include a link on their web site to their page in the iTunes podcast directory where you can subscribe (subscribing to a podcast through the iTunes directory benefits the podcaster because the stats can be counted by iTunes and applied to the podcast's rating in iTunes). PodcastAlley listings contain a link back to the podcaster's website.

3) Of course, not every podcast is in iTunes, so not every podcaster has a page in the directory to subscribe from. In that case, copy the feed from PodcastAlley, open iTunes, and click the Advanced pulldown menu. One of the options is to "Subscribe to podcast..." Just select that and paste the feed into the box that opens up, and then hit subsribe.

goto the ADVANCED menu in iTunes
choose "Subscribe to Podcast"
enter the link.

You can also subscribe directly to Podcasts via the iTunes store.
There are many Podcasts available and they are free.

Click on iTunes store. then type "As Seen On TV" into the search
and you'll find my enhanced Podcast there. (Chapter marks, Photos
for each track, web links and some video podcasts)
