One 'Marenation' Under God: Rising Performance Rock Powerhouse
MAREN
Brings Her Edgy Vibe And Visual Magic To Our Troops Across The World Via
Armed Forces Entertainment While Using YouTube As A Platform To Post Messages
That She Will Have Families And Fans Record For The Troops Overseas

Quickly redefining what it means to be a ?rock star? with her full throttle audio visual approach to live performance, powerhouse songwriter and vocalist Maren?who just released ?Hey You,? the supercharged first single from her debut album Marenation?appeared last summer on NBC?s ?Star Tomorrow? and wowed none other than Grammy Award winning producer David Foster, who gushed, ?She?s fun to watch, she?s sexy and she sings great!?

Despite the name of the show, thousands of awestruck fans across the country know the truth, however?Maren doesn?t need to wait till tomorrow. She?s already a star today. Though ?Hey You? and the other tracks from Marenation will soon be available via all the major digital download sites?iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody?in addition to her website www.marenmusic.com, various tracks have already spun on XM Radio and episodes of MTV?s ?The Hills.?

The multi-talented singer has entertained thousands over the past few years at hotspots on both coasts, from the world famous CBGB?s in New York to every L.A. club where budding superstars launch their careers: B.B. King?s, El Rey, The Derby, Key Club, Knitting Factory, Viper Room, Roxy and Whisky A Go Go. She?s opened for the popular groups Veruca Salt, Powder and Metal Skool and performed for thousands at The Staples Center, The Hula Bowl and the Disney Concert Hall.

This summer, in lieu of a traditional tour, she?s joining up with Armed Forces Entertainment?the official Department of Defense agency for providing musical and other entertainment to U.S. military personnel overseas--and taking her dynamic new breed of rock and roll?a growing movement that can only be called ?Marenation??to our troops stationed throughout Asia (including Japan and Singapore), Alaska and Hawaii.

For 18 shows from June 19-July 19, Maren and her band (guitarist and keyboardist Orlando Mestre, bassist Carl Buena and drummer Tyler Zarzeka) will be joined by two dancers onstage in a slightly scaled down version of her high energy live show, which often includes aerialists, chair dancers and dancers in cages at either side of the stage.

?I have been wanting to do my part for my country for a long time and Armed Forces Entertainment has finally given me the opportunity to do so in the best way I know how, through my skills and enthusiasm as a performer,? says Maren. ?In the months before the tour begins, we?re doing a P.R. campaign to encourage both troop family members and all Americans to give these men and women a piece of home by communicating with them through the internet. People can post messages on my Youtube channel www.youtube.com/marenmusic or my website www.marenmusic.com , and at some point during the set, we?ll air a specially selected recorded message from all the ones we receive for everyone to hear. Each week, people can tune in to my video blog to see if their message was featured in my live show.

?The exciting thing is being able to share my music with new people in ways that most artists never get a chance to do. I?m so excited to meet the men and women that have made it possible for all of us to enjoy the lives we have in America.? she adds.

Maren also sang a cameo on ?What Are You Guys Talking About,? a track on drag queen artist Kelly?s ?Shoes? album, and makes an appearance on ?her? video ?Text Message Breakup? playing the NSA officer. Like her live performances, there?s a sense of quirky yet intensely focused energy to everything she does, and you never quite know what?s going to happen next.
