Just wanted to announce that on May 19, Madeline, myself, and our podcast, How-To, (http:www.howtogirl.com) have been personally invited by the organizers to cover the US national heat of the World Chocolate Masters Competition (http://www.worldchocolatemasters.com/en/) in Chicago, IL.
Though young, the World Chocolate Masters competition, created by the world's leading chocolate manufacturer and supplier, Barry Callebaut (http://www.callebaut.com/en/10005), is already becoming a prominent showcase of exquisite national talent. With heats in 22 countries around the world, this truly global contest will ultimately conclude in Paris, France, where national champion's will pit their skills against those of the rest of the world.
We'll be covering the US heat in Chicago, hosted at The French Pastry School (http://www.frenchpastryschool.com/), for our own podcast, and for the internet and Video On Demand network, TasteTV. (http://www.tastetv.com) So far, we are one of the few non-print media outlets covering this event, and will be offering a rare view into the heart of this competition!
We've got some special stuff planned for this event, including interviewing the celebrity judges, covering the creation of the recipes and talking to the chefs... But we're turning our format on it's head for this! These aren't going to be your standard talking head interviews. It's going to be a How-To like you've never seen before! Stay tuned!
