Songs for Sanjaya

We never talk about American Idol on The Big Show but Jenny and I have had enough of Sanjaya. So every week this kid is still on Idol, we'll be hosting a special segment called Songs for Sanjaya. Each week we'll have a special theme of songs and you tell us the absolute worst song that Sanjaya could sing. We'd love it if you'd sing the song for us on our voicemail but you certainly don't have to. This week is open theme week so any song goes. So if Sanjaya could sing any song that would get him kicked off Idol, what would it be? Call in your answers to 206-202-2343 and we'll include them on the next show.

If I were you, I'd plan ahead you're going to have to do several more of these segments. He wasn't even in the bottom 2 this past week.

In case you hadn't heard, and despite Idol's refusal to acknowledge it, Howard Stern has launched a "Rock the Vote" campaign for Amercian Idol whereby he, his staff, and any of his listeners he can convince, vote as much as they can for Sanjaya every week. A listener called in this week providing instructions on how to vote many times and quickly without getting text message charges using Yahoo! Messenger.

Given the loyalty and size of the Stern audience, there's no doubt that it's having an effect. Will it be enough for Sanjaya to win? Who knows?..but I'd wager that it's good enough to keep him alive for a few more weeks.

BTW - why the hate for Sanjaya anyway? That Hula he rocked a couple weeks ago was off da hook!
