Greetings,
Embedding the PodShow Flash Videos into my WordPress has been buggy for me depending on the theme used. So I thought why not tweak an existing open source WordPress plugin to support PodShow Flash Videos. It has worked consistently for me in a variety of themes, as well for other videos.
Download Plugin (http://www.alaskapodshow.net/download/videos.zip) [.zip 3.1k]
Here's a brief:
Every occurence of the expression [podshow id] (case unsensitive) will start as an embedded flash player.
So [podshow afa97ade08f70d36580e5b0fdf689386] is how it should appear.
Crikey! That's a few of numbers!
Anyway - To capture the ID for PodShow videos access the embedded tag for the video here is an example.
web2.fleapit.com/media/flash/player/fleapit.swf?conf=http%3A%2F%2Fweb2.fleapit.com%2Fe xt%2FmplayerXML2.php%3Fguid=afa97ade08f70d36580e5b 0fdf689386, the id part is afa97ade08f70d36580e5b0fdf689386
I'm sure there might be an easier way, but thought I'd put this out there for now. Feedback is welcome...
A side note: I can't seem to reach the original author of this plugin, but it was an open source project. So I added on...
Cheers,
Scott
