I try to follow all of the instructions and do everything the tutorial says and I still have been unable to claim any feeds. I guess Im just stupid. Any help?

I just added a new show today and it was a breeze. Describe what you have done so far.

Have you pasted the claim feed ID in your feed or blog?

Give us a few more details so we can help.

Hang in there.

Hey there,

could you give me a step-by-step of how you are trying to claim your feed and where you are encountering the difficulty? Please include your RSS feed in the description. Then I can pinpoint whether it's you or us that's being stupid :)

<a href="http://www.podcastalley.com/"> My Podcast Alley feed!</a> {pca-3c0f741503b93d6c801fbc71578cfe30}

That is the "claim above. I copy this and then go to Podshow .com, the host and and paste it in the comments section and anywhere else that I can find. I go back to Podcast alley and it says I still have unclaimed feeds and I start all over again

I think the problem is that you are pasting it in the comments. Your normal feed does not feed out comments. Just main posts.

You will need to put it in a main post.

When your next show goes out, or when you post an entry into the blog, just add that code at the bottom of the post box and you should be good. Or you can do a special post with just that. But it has to be in the same feed address as the address you gave to Podcast Alley.

Looks like your feed is located at:

http://onlyatthecornerbar.podshow.com/feed

and it does not contain the claim code. Since you are hosted on PodShow I can tell you exactly how to fix this:

1. Log in and click on the 'master control' in the upper-left

2. Under 'my shows' click on your show

3. In the 'EDIT' bar click on 'show episodes'

4. Click on 'Show archives'

5. Next to your latest (and only) episode click on the little pencil and pad next to 'Episode Notes', paste the code here and click 'save'

Now try and claim your show again and it should work fine.

Dear Alex,
It worked. Thanks for taking a few minutes and giving me detailed instructions. I was getting very frustrated. I will keep you in my prayers

I read the post, and have had the same problem, I posted the code into the text of a main post in WordPress, but it appears not to be working. How long does it take for Podcast Alley to look for new feeds?

cquigg, I just did a new show and it seems to have been immediate. Can you give a link to your site so we can see what you have?

My site is: starttoenlighten.com, but the way I fixed the claim code was to post it in a blog that contained a media file. I guess adding the file to the blog made it sufficient for Podcast Alley to validate versus just posting a text blog on the site.
