Is there a way or tool - to pull an existing .mov, .m4v, .wmv etc.. into flash video player?

The idea is to take the existing files I have in FTP and have them pulled and viewed through a Flash user interface.

The purpose of this solution would allow me to save time on file conversion where I can upload, enter the url of the file in the flash player and post it on the website. I guess much like how audio podcasts are presented in blogs...

Thanks!
Scott

I'm not sure if this what you're looking for but easy web video (http://www.easywebvideo.com/) is pretty slick and easy to use. It converts standard video files and generates the html code and you can show the video on your site with the flash player with the "play - ff- pause etc" buttons. Very easy to use.

Thanks for the replies!

Let me better explain... I'm seeking an option like the flash player interface that we see in most blogs that plays a podcast. In sum there is no file conversion, the flash player simply plays the audio file.

I'm seeking a flash podcast player, but for video - Which will keep my existing .m4v, .mov, .wmv files in place - but streams them into the flash interface.

Thanks agian and hope that explains it better....

Hey all!

Thanks a bunch for the information and I'll check these out when I get back from some race coverage this weekend.

I also hacked in a PodShow plugin for WordPress that supports PodShow's Flash - for those who have accounts in PodShow+ and use video uploads. I'll try to FTP that Monday so all can use the plugin.

Cheers!
Scott
