Tonight I added a podcast to iTunes for the first time but i'm unable to find the podcast now that it is added. I would have thought that i could easily find it within the software but i'm totally lost as to where it may be
What I need is to get to a screen where i can configure/edit my podcast details. I need to get the phobos link to the podcast so i can launch it with iTunes.
Can anyone please help,
Thank you very much.

You should have gotten all the links you need in the confirmation email iTunes sent you. If you haven't gotten one yet, then it hasn't been added yet. It's not an instant process. If your feed is valid and you have all the required tags, then it should only take a day or two. If you need to change something (they'll reject it if it's serious enough), then it could be a much longer time before they add you.
If you lost the iTunes confirmation email, but you know you're in the directory, then do a search, using the exact name you submitted for your podcast. That should turn you up.
Finally, there is no "configuration page" for podcasts in the iTunes directory. The closest thing to that is your RSS.xml file itself. If you need to change something, like the category for example, you have to do it in your feed. That's where iTunes pulls it's info from. Once you've made your changes, ping iTunes and wait. It'll go through eventually. Once, I changed artwork on my podcast and it took a week before it showed up properly. Another time it took less than a day. Timing's a crap shoot over there.

Thank you very much for the information Eric, that was very helpful. :)
I'm fairly new to podcasting. I don't suppose you would be able to recommend other directories for podcasting submission?

Let's see, if there were a one-stop shopping trip for directories, I would say that it's Podcast411's Directory of Podcast Directories. (http://www.podcast411.com/page2.html)
Another exceedingly useful site is the Triyo Podcast Directory (http://www.triyo.com) and pinging service. Every time you put up a new show, you enter your feed, tick the "I'm a Podcaster" checkbox and hit Enter, and it pings a bunch of podcast and blog indexers, as well as many of the directories you'll be signing up with, as well as directories that only require your RSS feed URL. It takes two seconds to do, and it notifies dozens and dozens (and dozens) of sites that you have a new show. I love it!
Best of luck,
Eric

The Thing that really helped me was a Video podcast that you can find here:http://www.revision3.com/systm the helpful episode is episode 4- podcasting. It is more helpful towards the end because it gives you some great sites to use to make your podcast iTunes compatable without having to edit your RSS Feed. A good site that they will tell you how to use is feedburner.com, it lets you edit your Picture and Info about your podcast for itunes without having to mess with rss, it also gives you stats for your podcast and best of all its free. Hope this helps.

I learned the hard way that Feedburner is something you should use whether or not you plan to list in iTunes. For one thing, if you submit a FeedBurner RSS URL to directories, you'll never have to worry about changing your feed address again, no matter how many different hosting companies you choose or how many directories you're listed at. If you change hosts, all you have to do is point Feedburner to your new RSS feed URL and no one will ever know you moved.
