Aloha guys ...
Getting on a regular schedule now with my "spinoff" show, "digitalslobpod's ENDLESS EGO CAVALCADE," on TalkShoe.com, and I'm looking for guests to come on and pimp their projects, so to speak. Casual, lighthearted stuff, ideally. The purpose of the "Cavalcade" is to create a sort of perpetual-motion publicity machine for podcasters, among others who create online content. It's been a bit of a glitch-fest up to recently, but I think I'm getting the hang of it.
Though it's a live show and streams, I find the vast majority of listeners are downloding it later ... sometimes much later.
I'm doing three half-hour shows every friday (including the next one, Dec. 22) at 9, 10 and 11 p.m. EST, so take your pick whenever's best for your schedule. If you'd like, you can even submit a short mp3 clip to digitalslob@gmail.com and we'll take a listen live ... like you're hawking a movie on Leno or something. We can even talk to more than one podcaster at a time ... think of it like Podcast411, only much more chaotic.
On TalkShoe.com, listeners can call in and comment, or text chat comments, as we're making the show. Lately, it seems most prefer to text chat, but that could change.
If you don't want to jump through the registration hoops at TalkShoe, just give me an e-mail address and I'll send you a special guest PIN code to use when you call in (via Skype, cell phone, landline, etc.). Then, a few minutes before showtime, just call a number (regular U.S. number) and enter the show code and your PIN, and you're in.
Best example of my show so far can be found at this link. (http://www.talkshoe.com/talkshoe/web/audioPop.jsp?episodeId=4451)
And here's the show page. (http://www.talkshoe.com/talkshoe/web/talkCast.jsp?masterId=5498)
I know three days before Christmas isn't the best time for many to start a podcasting publicity tour, but keep the ENDLESS EGO CAVALCADE in mind. Most people listening at TalkShoe.com are the kind of people who know how to find and appreciate what we do, I think. Anyway, just e-mail me at digitalslob@gmail.com or leave a comment here if you're interested.
Aloha, and Mele Kalikimaka,
Curt
