If you don't want to listen on your computer, how do you plan to listen? MP3 player? Do you have an iPod or some other device.

If you have an iPod and you use iTunes for transfering your music, then the easiest thing is to use iTunes to get the podcasts. Here are the steps.

Choose the iTunes Store link in the left column (in iTunes). Then search for the podcast you want. Probably several items will come up. You want to look for the box that says Podcasts (usually the last box of choices). If you see the podcast you want, click its logo. If you don't see it, then click "view all" (or something like that, I am not at my computer with iTunes). When that comes up, you should see the podcast you want. Click the "Subscribe" button and it will start downloading for you.

If you use another mp3 player, there is good software that is probably just as easy to use. I only use iTunes for downloading podcasts.

I do not know how to download from podcast.net because my computer is not loading that page. Are you sure that is the correct address?

Maybe someone else can help with steps for that.

Sorry, I wasn't very clear. When I go to the podcast.net home page then to http://www.podcast.net/cat/89, the international podcast page, I click on the German podcasts, http://www.podcast.net/cat/91, then let's say I want to download to my ipod the first podcast called "Advent deluxe". How do I download this podcast to my ipod? There isn't an itunes button or any indication that I could download it so how can I get it over to my ipod?

Still puzzled

I am sorry I cannot help. I can't get any pages at www.podcast.net to load.

Maybe someone else can jump in with information.

Then you're on that page click on the link "Advent Deluxe".
Then you'll be taken to a page where you'll see:

Advent deluxe
Home (http://www.podcast.net/) International Podcasts (http://www.podcast.net/cat/89) > > Deutsch (http://www.podcast.net/cat/91) > Advent deluxe
(a button called RSS just here)

Click on the RSS button. Then copy the URL you'll get in your address bar and put it into your itunes to subscribe for the podcast. ;)

Just to add to that (in case you don't know where to add that RSS URL), when you're in iTunes, go to the Advanced menu and choose Subscribe to Podcast. A small text box should open up and you can paste your RSS URL into it. If the feed is valid, iTunes should begin downloading the most current episode immediately.

BONUS INFO (if you're easily confused, read no further; but if you crave knowledge unspoken -- or something -- then proceed at your own risk)!
If you really want to get geeky and impress the ladies, try this little stunt: When you click on the RSS link at the website, and the RSS address is in your browser window, instead of copying the address and pasting it into iTunes, replace the "http" at the front of the address with an "itpc" so that it looks something like this:
itpc://www.kmgd.de/adventdeluxe/podcast/podcast.php
Then hit Enter. Instead of taking you to a website, it will launch iTunes and automatically subscribe you to the podcast (of course, you have to have iTunes installed for this to work). Most podcasters don't include that link on their webpage because it bypasses the iTunes Music Store, and isn't "counted" in iTunes stats (which makes it harder to advance in rankings and get noticed for a coveted featured spot in the directory). But then, entering it yourself in the Advanced menu doesn't help a podcast's stats, either.

Best,

Eric
