I wonder if anyone can help me. One of my listeners uses Juice (as many, inlcuding myself do) but when our podcast comes down, it sounds like we've all been sucking helium...

Others don't have the issue, just him (that I know of). Anyone know what might be causing this?

Thanks.

It could have to do with the bitrate the show is encoded at. I know the flash player on my site has to be encoded at a multiple of 11,025 for it to sound right. Therefore I do my shows at 44,100. I don't really know what that means, but that may be a similar issue with Juice.

It's the bitrate. You should really record at 44100. It is practically the standard and there is no real reason not to keep this setting for all your recordings. Set and forget.

I hope that helps.

I've also had some issues with this in the past when I have used VBR for encoding instead of CBR. Don't know if this is still a problem or not as I use strictly CBR now.
