Howdy,
sorry for such a lame / noobish first post.

I'm trying to make my church's podcast more visible. When I subscribe via the furnished link (http://www.parkwayfellowship.com/TheParkPodcast.xml) the program works well and updates fine.

When I attempt search via: itunes > Store > Search > Podcasts > Parkway fellowship > Search, I come up with a couple of other churches but not mine?

Someone mentioned "Feed For All". I downloaded the free trial, however did not get a chance to use it prior to the expiration (30days). I am not opposed to paying for this application if it will repair my feeds search dilemma.
Any ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Yes we did submit it to itunes.
I suspect the problem is something I created.
When I run it through this groups validator, I get a mess :

Validating feed at "http://www.parkwayfellowship.com/TheParkPodcast.xml"...
Warnings :
WARNING Encoding in XML DTD should be"UTF-8" (data: Line 1 ) (code: 5001)
WARNING Channel has missing or invalid itunes: Owner tag. (code: 6610)
WARNING Channel has missing or invalid itunes:keywords tag. (code: 6580)
WARNING Channel has missing or invalid itunes:explicit tag. Assuming explicit="yes". (code: 6590)
WARNING Channel has missing or invalid itunes:subtitle tag. (code: 6600)
WARNING Channel has missing or invalid itunes:summary tag. (code: 6520)
WARNING Channel has missing or invalid itunes:category tag. Please use the itunes:category format rather than the older <category> tags format. (code: 6570)
WARNING Channel category blank after falling back to older <category> tag format. Assuming "General". To change this, claim and edit your feed after submission. (code: 6020)
WARNING Channel has missing or invalid itunes:link tag after attempting fallback from failed itunes:image. Please use the itunes:image format and not the older itunes:link or <image> tags. (code: 6550)
Summary: Your podcast generated the warnings above. We will accept your podcast as is, but you might want to make some improvements as mentioned above.
Finalization: The podcast entitled "Parkway Fellowship in Katy Podcasting" is ready for the next step! You can stop here if you have changes you would like to make otherwise click on the button below to go the final step.

This is why I was wondering about a program that could correct the errors.

Indeed, with all of those errors, iTunes will never list it.

Where are you hosting your files? If it is done through Libsyn then they will generate valid code for you so that you don't have to bother with rolling your own.

Thanks for the reply

We are hosting it our own server.
Is there a simplified way to correct all of the errors?

You can always hand code it.

If you are doing it on your own then the best thing to do would be to copy someone else's feed and change the information (make sure that you change all relevant information). Then write a program to generate the code so that it is easy to update as items get added.

This is what I have done with several non-podcast things I have worked on. If you know ASP then I can send you the code I use so that you can change it for your own use. (Contact me offline at EclecticMix@Gmail.com)

Thank you for your generous offer.
I wish I knew ASP (or any other technology for that matter).
I am currently using someone else's feed with our info. inserted where needed. We then change this weekly.

I thought the problem may lie in the feed that we copied.

I purchased FAA (Feed for all) and recreated the feed with it. No luck the search itunes store feature and corresponding artwork still doesn't show up.

I have the feeling I may be in over my head on this one. We will not give up.

Thank You for your Replies and suggestion!

Marc, have you submitted your feed to iTunes and gotten two replies back? One reply should say the feed was received and is waiting for review. The second should say you are approved and will appear in search shortly.

If that hasn't happened, you won't show up in a search in iTunes no matter what is or isn't wrong with the feed itself.

Is feedBurner (http://www.feedburner.com/)a good route for creating the feed? Seems like a decent way to create the feed and track downloads, etc.
