Cubase LE - Splitting Stereo Tracks

Does anyone use Cubase LE? I got it with my mixer and figured other podcasters might have tried this in the past:

If I record half a Skype call on the L channel, and half the Skype call on the R channel, and want to adjust the volume of each independently (e.g. if one side of the call is too loud) - is there a way to do this?

I use the same software. you must have bought a tascam interface. The only way I know of to adjust that volume like that, is to use the pan to bring one side up or down, and that can only be done on mix down.
