I have been producing a podcast for over a year. Recently, I have gotten reports from listerners saying that when they play my podcast it cause their iPods to restart.

They say mine is the only podcast that does this. I think it might have somthing to do with encoding settings (mp3, mono, 48 khz, 56kbs).

I tested my podcasts on my 3g ipod, 5g ipod and shuffle and it plays ok.

Has anybody seen this problem before?

Thanks Joe Cocozza www.poddiver.net (http://www.poddiver.net)

This is a known bug in video iPods and it happens only to mono podcasts. It also only happens when one of the iPod's equalizer settings is in use. So if your listeners who are having this problem turn off the equalizer, it will stop happening. I would guess that the next version of the iPod OS will correct this problem.

This doesn't happen to podcasts done in stereo.
