Reading full comments/responding

I've had some great comments and questions in comments that I'd like to respond to, but the email addresses are truncated so I cannot. I've claimed my feed, hoping that would give me access to the full comments, but it did not. Is there a magic door somewhere to get to the full comment text and sender? Wynyfryd

Greetings Wynyfryd.

Being able to get the email addresses of your voters has been a hot subject (http://www.podcastalley.com/forum/showthread.php?t=121873) amongst the users of Podcast Alley before. For we administrators, it comes down to a simple idea: At least until now, people who vote have had a small measure of assumed anonymity. To start providing third parties their identity now would break that estabilished trust of those who have voted.

As to the comments themselves being truncated, they shouldn't be. If you'd like to see all of the comments (as in the number of them), just click on the "See More Comments" link of any podcast details page. We realize that the resulting page full of comments isn't the prettiest thing on earth and will be working on that soon. Regardless, all of the comments are presented on that page in full. If this is not working for you, please post again so we can be aware of any possible bugs.

Bryn, yes I have comments truncated so I can't read the whole thing, even on the "See More Comments" page.

As for email addresses, for people who vote without a comment, sure, stay anonymous. But if someone asks me a question in a comment, I can't respond except to comment back to their comment. I suppose it drives my # of comments up :p

I suppose it drives my # of comments up You're welcome to do that on occasion. The people that come after and read the comments will have the answer as well. If it turns into a conversation, please point them to the new show announcement forum (http://www.podcastalley.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=248) and continue it there if you have a thread for your latest episode.
