View Full Version : Recording on an iRiver T30

I've tracked down my recording problem to the T30 that I'm recording onto (if you're not up with the story...consider yourself lucky!)

If I'm playing a signal on only one channel (say, I'm panned to the right and the guest is panned all the way to the left), I get a terrible hissing sound - like a scratchy echo of what is being recorded on the channel that should have no audio.

At this point, I'm taking it back. But do I try another model, or will they all be the same?

I guess I'll try another one, unless someone tells me they've had similar problems.

Any other suggestions for recording mixer output? The goal was to move the recording off the PC, so I'm looking for something that's 'out-board' (but not a $500 MP3 recorder...something a little more moderate).

Chuff. I took the T30 back and replaced it.

The new one works exactly the same.

I'd love to hear from anyone who is successfully recording on a T30 with each end of the conversation on each channel.

I did a good recording tonight, but everyone was on both channels. It worked fine, but I'd like the option of (a) altering the volume of each side of the convo independently, and (b) doing a double-ender.

What are good options? I can get my cash back on the T30.
